Things I Love Thursday

♥ Finding out my boys are playing a free acoustic set on the day of the new album release which is flipping sweet as I can't make it to the actual album launch!

♥ The Garden State on dvd. With Sheldon Cooper

♥ That amazing storm on Monday where I saw hail on Hay St and then got to spend the evening playing I Spy with my drunken parents by candle light and having to eat all the icecream because the freezer is melting! I was actually pretty bummed when the power did come back on

♥ New Shout Out Louds cd

♥ Making totally kitsch snowflake cutouts for the winter window display at work

♥ Furikake with my lunch

A group of people that miss the same imaginary place

Andrew: Fuck, this hurts so much.
Sam: I know it hurts. But it's life, and it's real.
And sometimes it fucking hurts, but it's life, and it's sorta all we have.

I've been in a Garden State of mind for the past few days

Things I Love Thursday

♥ Apocalypstick : Does anybody date anymore? So funny and so so true! My favourite.. "Be a gentleman. Pretend that the entire date has Camera Obscura as the soundtrack. Is that fuck music? No, it is not fuck music. It is clean and beautiful and adorable. Like our first date." Hahaha, awwwwww.

♥ Free beer at staff training.

♥ Art Gallery of WA! I always try to go see the Year 12 Perspectives and this year it was as amazing as ever. Dallas Green was even there! Also the amazing gift shop.. 30% of Moleskines? Why thankyou.

♥ "Be cute for you!" Oprah said it on her show the other day and I think it's a nice to to say to yourself all the time!

The Package Project. I am so there!

♥ Days off where I accomplish things and don't blob around all day in my pj's. This week I had a dentist, doctors appointment, driving lesson and I went to the library .. all in one day!

♥ Dates with boys who hold your hand because it's "cold", buy you lychee bubble tea and sit and talk with you for hours by the river.

Angus & Julia Stone - Down The Way. I am so excited to see them in a few weeks! Favourite tracks are Yellow Brick Road, Black Crow & And The Boys

♥ Hearing Kate Nash on the radio for the first time! Well, first time on Australian radio! And first thing in the morning= best!!

♥ & lastly, the whole galaxy at your fingers tips! ..

Whenever I'm with you

Him :
I'll follow you into the park,
Through the jungle through the dark,
Girl I never loved one like you.

Her :
Moats and boats and waterfalls,
Alley-ways and pay phone calls,
I've been everywhere with you.

Him :
We laugh until we think we’ll die,
Barefoot on a summer night
Nothin’ new is sweeter than with you

Her :
And in the streets you run afree,
Like it's only you and me,
Geeze, you're something to see.

♥ Regina Spector touring!

This amazing night time photoshoot!
Bicycles & bridges & skylines & snow fall (are a few of my favourite things!)

Happiness by the kilowatt

Life is for deep kisses, strange adventures, midnight swims and rambling conversations.

Things I Love Thursday

Seeing as Gala Garling is pretty much my blogging hero, I've decided to write about Things I Love (every!) Thursday! Plus, I simply love writing lists.

♥ Running! I have started training this week for my first 5km race and it feels great.
♥ Haircuts! After trampling through the bush for the past few months I was glad to get my hair tidied up at last. I even bought conditioner.. I never use conditioner!
♥ Do Wah Doo! Kate Nash is back!!!!
♥ Jonas Brothers! It all started back in November on my flight from Japan to New Zealand when I was stumped for what to watch so Jonas it was. They are such sharp dressers, write such catchy songs and are quite hilarious. I don't have cable tv so I can't watch them so I just have to listen to their cd's. Favourite song of the moment is Much Better. Swoon! But wait, they have movies don't they too!?
♥ Paychecks! I got my first paycheck in 6 months this week which means soon I can buy a laptop!
Just Me blog! Maybe I haven't looked hard enough but there aren't many awesome boy bloggers out there. Jeremy is pretty rad & crafty & Canadian!

Marching forwards

Hello! I've decided to give blogging another shot because I do like reading blogs and sometimes I have things to share and it would be a shame not to have any place to do so. Also, I am thinking I will be embarking on the massive 101 in 1001 project soon so this will be a good place to document it.

Top 5 things I am looking forward to now that I am home sweet home..
1. Tegan & Sara concert
2. Banff Film Festival
3. Blues & Roots Festival
4. Gyroscope album launch
5. City to Surf marathon
