Love letter to PB

Hey America, why has it taken you so long to send us peanut butter M&Ms? Now you are for sale at the deli near my work, there is no going back. I was browsing the aisles with my yogurt in one hand and I had to back track to make sure it really was you. It was! You are in your pretty little red paper wrapper and I know you're not made here because our M&M's normally come in plastic wrappings. You're not even popular enough to be made here yet, you are still made in Hackettstown, NJ. You taste so much better than Reeses simply for the fact that you have a delicious crunchy shell like the rest of your family and you taste just like you did in June 2007 in the best way possible! I love you peanut butter M&M's, thanks for cheering up my dismal Tuesday.

My top 5 American foods that I cannot buy here..
♥ Pinkberries (with raspberries and oreo's!)
♥ Teaberry chewing gum (tastes like summer camp!)
♥ Pumpkin pie (sure, I can make it, but I can't buy it)
♥ Bagels (of the "everything" variety)
♥ Vanilla toothpaste (it's as good as food ok?)

Living in that chest is a big big heart

My Saturday night consists of: watching Ten Things I Hate About You, eating mushroom and cheese burritos, drinking all of someone elses red wine, in bed by 9pm, refusing to watch flippin Must Love Dogs (for hundredth time!) and listening to the rain fall on the roof. AWESOME. Oh, & wondering who the frick on my street is playing that rediculous "bumble bee" song on repeat. You know the song that just keeps saying "humblebeebumblebeebumblbeebumblebee"? IT SOUNDS SO BAD BECAUSE IS IT.

My favourite songs this week:
♥ Love Lost - The Temper Trap "And if you flash your heart I won't mistreat it, I promise"

♥ Love Letter - Lisa Mitchell "Well a telegram's no substitute when it comes to living proof"

♥ Rich Kids - Washington "I remember why I left this town" (!)

♥ Eet - Regina Spektor "It's like forgetting the words to your favorite song, you can't believe it you were always singing along."

♥ Giving up the Gun - Vampire Weekend "But in the years that passed since I saw you last you haven’t moved an inch"

Oh Sleevie, oh Sleevie, why can't you see

I am currently in the market for a sleeve for my brand new laptop.
These are some of my current favourites..

Felt Sachel from Kikki K
I think if I owned this I would have to plaster it in some kind of decal or patch because as much as I like grey marle and felt, it is very plain. If only it was red felt! & if only it had a zipper (as I am likely to spill things all over it) But the button detail and general shape is pretty tops

Ahhhhh above most things I love snail mail and how amazing is this sleeve! It appears to be padded, semi water resistant and with a velcro closure..pretty much pefrect. I think this is the winner already hands down

I love the colour brown and tree silouettes so this is pretty perfect for me. Plus, handles!

BookBook from Twelve Below

It's a book? No! It's a standard laptop sleeve? No! It's for Macs only? Yes, booooooo.

It is a pretty simple design, but made of sweet neoprene which is a big plus as I am pretty good at dropping things. Also, it's red and quite good value at $50.

VERDICT: I don't know! Plus there is a whole other world of sleeve possiblities on Etsy. I am starting to think maybe I will attempt to make my own.. all I need is a zipper, fabric and padding right? My actual laptop is still on lazy way to me from the factory so I will wait and see. Stay tuned!

Marching forwards

Hello! I've decided to give blogging another shot because I do like reading blogs and sometimes I have things to share and it would be a shame not to have any place to do so. Also, I am thinking I will be embarking on the massive 101 in 1001 project soon so this will be a good place to document it.

Top 5 things I am looking forward to now that I am home sweet home..
1. Tegan & Sara concert
2. Banff Film Festival
3. Blues & Roots Festival
4. Gyroscope album launch
5. City to Surf marathon
